Interesting read, I am not sure if it is accurate or not but I will follow up some. I am told that I have tendonitis in both elbows and have had cortisone shots in both. Due to this I have had to drop weight on some movements like curls and end up icing my elbows a couple times a week...fuckin great getting older

Very good info. I will surely need to try some of these. I'm almost 40 years old and the years of moving heavy weight have caused me some tendon issues.

Good read and props for going old school and referencing "Weider Principles" (Weider Pyramid Principle)!

Tendon pain sucks moose balls. Something else to keep in mind, particularly as we get older is that flexibility & ability to recover starts to decline, which is probably the source of most of my aches & pains. I experienced my first "elbow tendonitis" in the late 80s getting sloppy trying to snap thru heavier rope grip tricep extensions, and saw my first PT for "elbow tendonitis" in the early 90s. Since then, I've experienced the following:

      - shitty pain in right shoulder - MRI showed just a lot of frayed tendon and inflammation was causing impingement on the collar bone
----> Fixed w/ arthroscopic surgery to clean up the frayed tendon & shave down the collar bone - fantastic results, lifts increased dramatically w/ zero pain
      - ongoing rounds of more or less pain from "elbow tendonitis" (tendonosis) since the early 90s
----> Reduced pain as prescribed in the OP's post - time off, reduce weight, switch to less isolated curling
----> Bigger problem when I tore right biceps (playing golf ) Athroscopic surgery repaired the 85% tear but still have issues w/ very tight forearm /wrist from time off for this & other tear surgeries)
      - more shitty pain in right shoulder - PT says I "overstretched the ligaments" --> 3 years for 'overstretched' ligaments to regenerate - so ongoing PT / chiro to be sure they "regrow" back to normal instead of perpetually stressed

      Recommendation: Don't get old

Recommendation: always work on flexibility & good recovery

      Recommendation: Deca

Great read, had my fair share of tendonopathy and rehab due to tendon and ligament damages from sports. I find my tendonopathy comes on from repetitive impact and tight muscles. Stretch before big games/runs/workouts people!
