I had a torn meniscus and partial ACL tear at 35 years old. Had surgery and was back running within 6 months, with rehab of course. It was probably a little longer rehab since I was older, but everything went well. No problems or limitations to this day. Iím 40 now. If your in good shape, rehab after surgery will go well.

Don't put it off. You'll be fine. The surgery is so simple. I waited a year and limped around. I thought I was doing right by my customers. I ended up 30 lbs heavier and now trying to undo that. My knee is pretty good now though.

I've had two meniscus repairs, so I'll give what advice I can (not over 40 though). It all depends on the type of tear you have realistically but they either perform a meniscal repair or resection. Repair involves stitching the meniscus back together and letting it heal, which has its advantages but takes longer to recover and be walking around again properly. A resection involves removing the damaged tissue, and recovery back to walking is significantly faster. Your surgeon will suggest the best course of action depending on the tear and the extent of the damage. The meniscus has little blood flow inside it which will impact whether they decide to repair it or not. Either path is the way to go, follow it up with some BPC-157 and that'll help the recovery process. Good luck.
