My elbow has been increasingly hurting since about October.

Yes I've read the sticky about tendonosis vs tendonitis.

Elbow hurts internally (can't really get to it by pushing on the area) especially when bent AND flexed or tensed up. NO pain when extending or doing triceps exercises. It feels very deep inside my elbow.

I never heard a pop. Just some pain the next day after a killer workout. I feel like I remember really "pushing it" (doing more weight than ever) on upright rows.

I can make it hurt by making a fist real tight while tensing up by elbow/arm muscles. Overhead DB press and incline chest press can bring some pain if I bring the weight down too far.

Orthopedic doc wasn't sure and ordered an MRI next week. Said I could still workout as long as I didn't do anything that bothered it. Obviously, curls bothers it but so do many other exercises even though indirectly.

Wondering if anyone has ever experienced this (hoping it's not a tear) and any suggestions moving forward until I get MRI results? e.g. Should I just try to stop lifting upper body mainly and just rest for a few weeks to see?

Thanks
