And because it stays at an exact temperature and cycles on and off by itself you can wear it for as long as you want. 3 hours, 8 hours, sleep in it. It will dramatically help with the swelling, inflammation, and pain. This is not like ice units you buy online like gameready or etc that use ice or ice and water. You need a prescription for it I believe and it’s usually from a durable medical equipment company and its rented. If you have any questions pm me. Seriously this thing is a game changer even if you don’t need surgery
What's the name of this device? I'll buy it, sounds cool. I've spent so much money on various shoulder icing compression kits, I'm ready for something new and a game changer. Thanks for the tips!

Why would I be in pain? Not extremes, just facts. Both surgeons told me during my consults the risks and complications, as they should have for you. Medical doctors make things sound simple and easy.

      Do some research.

Meat, surgery sucks, nothing fun about it. I was in your condition, plus some. I couldn’t write, type, pick something up, etc, without being in pain. I had a stick shift sports car I had to get rid of because I couldn’t switch gears! Working out, lol, ya right. But that’s why after surgery, you start rehab ASAP, when the dr says. I had reconstructive so I was in a sling for 4 months, then 8 months of rehab, 4-5 days a week, so I could get back to throwing a baseball. It fuckin sucked, but had to be done. I got all my strength back, but lost velocity throwing. I chose to give up baseball versus take a chance to tear it again. But Rehab, rehab, rehab. And find a trusted rehab trainer that specializes in shoulder recovery.

Google “recovery plus cold compression machine”. The issue is it’s difficult to purchase its usually rented out after surgery and needs a prescription. They run around 4-5k. Once again there is a huge difference between this and the ones you buy online. If you have any more questions feel free to pm me

Man Mav, that sounds awful! I talked with a buddy that I work with and he had the surgery TWICE because he played baseball! The funny thing is that I can do half my exercises at the gym and it doesn't hurt me at all, however, I was climbing on friday and my right foot slipped about a foot down and my right leg stomped down with all my body weight bearing down on it and I felt so much pain that it brought me to my knees for a few seconds. I was blinding pain. I was also in the middle of pushing myself and said eff this, I ain't stopping, and pushed through and trail-ran for another 3 miles back to the park. That night and the next day forward, I have been in so much pain, I can't even lift my hand barely above my waist.

So, my big question is how did they treat you with pain meds? With this entire stupid "war on opoioids" going on with doctors being afraid to prescribe, I am terrified of what their going to say. My doctor that did my hernia kept saying take tylenol and asperin yet he wrote me a script of 30 percocets. The pain I feel right now almost has me wanting to go to the emergency center but I know they won't do anything. I'm just curious if my doctor will prescribe after the surgery because every doctor that I've talked to / patient describes what you're saying - painful! I know i'll be in a sling, I know I won't be able to work out, I'm prepared to deal with it all. I just can't handle pain. I got lucky and I am going to see him on Weds first thing. If he tells me 10 ***** and that's it (like I've heard other friends say after surgery) i'll walk out the door and find another doctor or go to a pain management clinic.

I'm definitely not looking forward to this, but I really don't have much option considering the pain I'm in right now is almost as post op as can be. And all my docs that I have talked to have said the same thing, rehab asap. Right now, I'm literally using my left hand to pick up my right hand and place it on my mouse to click post. lol this sucks.

By the time my contest ended the pain had subsided and I rehabed the injury myself. Is my rotator cuff 100%, fuck no. I gave up heavy barbell work long ago. The only exercise that I feel iffy on is flat barbell, but I was never a great bencher before the tear. Dumbbells have replaced barbell work completely. I recently partially tore my right long head bicep incline benching 160's, but I attribute that to dehydration.

Both surgeons I talked to guaranteed me nothing. The larger more muscular you are the harder it is for them to reattach it correctly. If the muscle is taut and they can't pull the muscle back into place, they will anchor it down wherever they can. You can also tear the anchor off the bone abducting your arm once during recovery. There is a chance the surgery/anchor can be pain generators, making it worse. 3-4 months in a sling + 8 months of rehab before you're back to normal ADL's.
I read your's a bit wrong, admittedly. And yes, I have done my research and I'm in the same boat as you are with your supraspinatus tear. I think I may have torn my a lot more, which feels like what you probably felt but worked through it. One of my doctor's clinics will do plasma injections over the shoulder area for better healing, which I'm considering. I know that I'll probably never bench again, but I wouldn't mind getting back at least 90% or better post surgery.

I wouldnt do surgery, i just take deca and went to sports physiologist for my full thickness tear and i only jave minor pain when training

Honestly, i took cortisone shots and anti-inflammatories, but never touched a single pain killer. I just dealt with the pain from day to day until it went away. I can’t function when I take them, and the last thing I wanted was a pill problem.

Rehab is the key to getting your ability back. Stick to what the doctors tell you. The technology they have now cannot compare to when I had surgery 20 years ago. You will probably come out of surgery in less pain and will definitely rehab in no time! Shit, I would of had a chance to pursue a baseball career these days, with the same injury.

Bro, I just recently had rotator cuff surgery for partial torn supraspinatus from the humeral head and shoulder decompression. I got prescribed norco for the post surgery pain, got a sling and an ice chest with shoulder brace. I got operated on Valentine’s Day ,so wife got the gift of the waiting room LOL . I am doing simple rehab exercises with a pulley to raise my bad arm with the good one . Doing simple table slides forward and sideways as far as I can without pain ,usiung my body to move the arm . Also abducting the arm on the table as far as I can without pain. I had surgery on the other shoulder a few years back ,it took 4 months of rehab to get back to work. It took a year to get back to full strength ,just have to be patient . This shoulder got injured over a year ago and I opted for rehab to avoid surgery. It helped to an extent, but the pain came back worse a few months later . It will suck ,it will take time and nothing is guaranteed. My physical therapist told me you’ll get out what you put in to your rehab. I’m doing my exercises daily since they’re just stretches .I want to lift and do regular stuff, but I have to be patient, only time will make it better . Don’t be discouraged, the pain will go away ,but it will take time . If you have a recliner ,sleep on that . Otherwise stack pillows and sleep as upright as possible. This too sucks ,but it will get better eventually. Patience will be paramount for your success

I have a new lazy boy and an adjustable frame under my bed. I'm sure that they're gonna prescribe, just how many days is the question.. But if it's 2 weeks worth I can cope. I don't want a pill problem, but I have been in shoulder pain for over 2 years. First it was tendonitis for 6 months, next was a surface tear on one of the tendons and ffs, now this. I can't believe the pain that I'm in. No way, do I want to feel what I'm feeling now unless I have surgery. This sucks. I'm in so much pain, I can't do half the exercises and I did do physical therapy for a year before I started seeking help. And when I did seek help, this happened AFTER they injected my shoulder. I kind of think that this is related to the shot. I wonder if the tendon was more torn that originally thought and then when I slipped and caught myself, I tore it more. Hell, I never did really push myself with more weight than I could and injured myself. I've always been pretty good, but hell, it happens. I get it. I'm going to talk to the doc tomorrow and most likely see to get this done. I know I'm going to lose a lot, if not all, but if there's a chance that I could come out on top, I'm always going to take that chance.
