This happened to a friend of mine on Heavyweight Wednesday. His left pec and parts of his bicep were torn. It's been about a year and he still has pain from time
to time. Lots of IBPROFEN and FLEXARILL for muscle spasms. It will get better soon just take it easy brother.

I just experienced that two months ago while doing a powerlifting meet. During the bench, I was wearing a bench shirt, and dumped the weight behind me, partially tearing the right pec. Been a long slow road back and my overall chest work; bench etc. has really suffered. Ibuprofen really helps but I'm not supposed to take it due to kidney issues.

Depends how serious the tear is. Some can take years to heal correctly. Take plenty of ibuprofen or maybe some naproxen.
Take your time healing and stay away from exercises that hurt you or you feel discomfort no matter how much you love them.
Ej barbell bench is one I have to away from.

depends on severity ...some no time, some......months.....have you had a specialist look at it?
