Hello everyone, first off I wanted to Thank Pain & Kubes for allowing me to post this here at BOP!

I am doing a Blog on Body Building Forums. For those who do not know me I belong to numerous Forums and I wanted to be able to do an uncensored Blog that would cover the goings on across forums. As BOP is one of my favorite forums I approached Kubes with the idea of partnering up and posting the articles here as well. He approached PAIN who was kind enough to agree.

The Blog will be covering various topics from goings on in the Supplement Industry, to UGL News, to goings on at the Forums, as well as a weekly interview where a member from a forum will be interviewed every week so we can get to know them a little bit better. A little preview my first interview will be with BOP's very own Kubes, a guy whom I have the utmost respect for as far as living this lifestyle and generously sharing his experience and knowledge across the forums, helping many people!

The first blog has to do with Ironmag Labs being sued in a California court for False Advertising and Unfair Competition. Apparently 2 of their supplements, Osta Rx and DMZ 4.0, both of which contain the Sarm Ostarine, were being falsely marketed and sold as naturally occurring supplements and being side effect free.

The lawsuit itself is being brought against them by another supplement company, Nutrition Distribution LLC, better known as Athletic Xtreme. The motivation for them suing is obviously a selfish one, however that does not mean the litigation is without merit. While I am far from one that supports federal or government regulation of the supplement industry this is the perfect example of why it has beomce a necessary evil. When left to their own devices many supplement companies have resorted to shady marketing tactics and claims such as the ones IML has falsely made to market the above mentioned 2 products.

The thing is this, the claims being made are not simply exaggerations of effectiveness. Something like that is almost to be expected. Sadly this is much worse, we are talking about potentially harmful health implications when claims such as the ones they are making are incorporated into the marketing of said products. To imply or flat out say Ostarine is without side effects is pretty irresponsible given that fact that among other things is is suppressive to the HPTA in a dose dependent manner. This is something the consumer should be at the very least be made aware of but in all likelihood the responsible course of action would be to educate the consumer about this effect, not sweep it under the rug claiming it does not exist. By doing that the product can be used in inappropriate situations (like in pct for example) or may be used without the proper ancillaries (ie PCT) to make it safe.

While IML is far from the only company guilty of the type of unethical marketing mentioned above they are in fact in a position to take such unethical marketing practices to another level. Having their own forums where they can market their products and controlling not only what IS said about them but also controlling what ISNT said about them they are in a particularly advantageous position when it comes to misleading the consumer. Also one has to wonder, IML also has an RC company. An RC company where a product such as Ostarine could legally be sold for research purposes. Obviously the ability to sell more of it in the form of a supplement over an RC led them to doing just that. Selling a product that is in fact a pharmaceutical as a supplement and making false claims about its direct effects.
