There are a number of things that can do this. Go online and look at a chart demonstrating basic steroid metabolism. You will see how easy it is to convert to estradiol. There is a very narrow window of acceptable levels of estradiol in men, that is between 20 and 30 pg/ml. Bill Falloon, the Founder of the Life Extension Foundation for whom I was at one-time Medical Services Director, has written editorials and articles in their magazine about the subject. There is not only an increase in mortality if one is outside of the window, one will get problems with both libido and ED. I have experienced it myself.
What needs to be done is to closely monitor your estradiol levels and use Arimidex in small doses. Prior to compounding pharmacies having smaller dosage forms available, I used the brand and cut them in half taking them three times a week. That is of course not optimal. Empower Pharmacy has low dose Arimidex by the way. (I have no financial interest in them of LEF.)

That’s what the medical doctor who prescribes the 400mg a week calls it.

He's wrong.
Better than yesterday, but not as good as tomorrow!

There aren’t any exact dosages set in stone for TRT. It all depends on the individual, 200 mg a week might work for some, others need more. I get my bloods done every 6 months and everything is good and my levels are within an acceptable range. So my doctor isn’t wrong he’s a really forward thinking doctor who’s not afraid to prescribe dosages based on the individual, unlike a lot of doctors who only prescribe minimal doses.
