TUF 14 Finale results: John Dodson scores quick KO of T.J. Dillashaw for 'TUF' title

ohn Dodson fed off the hate, and he had a feast.

In the live finals of "The Ultimate Fighter 14" bantamweight tournament, Dodson silenced a hostile crowd by blasting T.J. Dillashaw with a first-round knockout to win a "TUF" crown.

The fight was part of the main card of The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale, which aired on Spike TV following prelims on Facebook. The event took place at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Dodson, perhaps best known as the spy from Team Miller who fed fight matchups and other intel to Team Bisping during this season of the reality series, entered the cage to a cascade of boos. And the jeers only intensified when he caught Team Bisping's Dillashaw with a big counter left that buckled his legs. Dodson pounced on the dazed fighter with an additional punch before referee Herb Dean quickly halted the action, arguably a bit too early.

Regardless, the damage was done, and Dodson earned the victory at the 1:54 mark of the opening round.

He also earns the coveted six-figure UFC contract, the title of "TUF 14" champion, and some job security in the world's top promotion – one that's expected to implement a 125-pound flyweight division in which he could be an immediate contender.

"Words cannot describe how I feel right now," he said over the chorus of boos. "I don't care if you guys love me or hate me. Just watch me."

Dodson (12-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who prompted cageside Team Jackson-Winkeljohn teammates to cheer in front of Dillashaw's Team Alpha Male family, is now 5-1 over his past six fights. Dillashaw (4-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) suffers his first career loss.
