Boarding card spells out rude phrase, hilarity ensues

This seemingly innocent boarding card might have raised one or two eyebrows in the airport departure lounge.



One of the reference numbers on the plane ticket appears to have been a little too forward in its admiration for the customer.


The ‘record locator number’, which is usually created by a random generator, spells out the phrase ‘GR8VAG’ for a flight that appeared to be heading to Buffalo in New York state.


Since being uploaded to Reddit, the photo has left many internet surfers chuckling and one or two suggesting other funny phrases that could be produced by the generator.


Reddit user Tr0user commented: ‘I just love the idea that there is a couple of guys at an airport in absolute hysterics… making the boarding pass confirmation numbers for people as they walk through the door. GR8VAG, NIC3HAT, DUMPTHL0SER.’


In a similar incident last year, Delta Air Lines were forced to apologise to passenger Jeff White when his boarding pass spelt out the phrase ‘H8GAYS’.


If the codes are not being generated randomly, the airlines are either hiring ID10T5 or CL0WN5…
