Whitby female bodybuilder pleads guilty to child porn charge

Michelle Christine Leek appeared in a bail court briefly Tuesday morning, where she told a justice of the peace she has applied for Legal Aid funding. Ms. Leek, 36, of Guthrie Crescent, was arrested Nov. 6 after Durham police executed a search warrant at her residence. She’s charged with three counts: possessing, accessing and making available child pornography.

WHITBY -- A Whitby woman has been given a suspended sentence and probation after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.


Michelle Christine Leek was given credit for 70 days of pre-trial custody and will be on probation for three years, according to court records. She’ll be on the national sex offender registry for 10 years, during which time she’s prohibited from attending public areas where children might congregate.


Ms. Leek, 36, a body builder who refers to herself as “Cindy Muscles” on a number of websites dedicated to the pursuit, was arrested last November following an investigation by Durham police’s child exploitation unit.


Originally charged with three porn offences -- possessing, accessing and making available child pornography -- she pleaded guilty in January to a single count of possession, according to court records.
