BODYBUILDER Ricardo Silva, who was found dead at his home in Scunthorpe this week, has been described as a "true champion".

Mr Silva, 34, was found dead at his home on Robert Street on Tuesday.

Coroners confirmed they had received a report of Mr Silva's death, but inquest has not yet been opened.

Mr Silva won the Body Building UK (BBUK) Open competition at the Wortley House Hotel in Scunthorpe on April 13.

And Jamie Moss, owner of BBUK, said: “He was a true champion, but a quiet person, with a huge amount of potential to go a long way in the bodybuilding world.

“I believe bodybuilding was his life, and you could see how serious he was about it at the competition."
