Your post implies that women who come out about abuse years after the fact do so with the sole intention of aggrandizing themselves. Actually, you say it pretty explicitly. Roo is saying that people who've been abused often hide that fact for a number years and for a number of reasons. He's 100% correct. Why they decide to talk about it is absolutely irrelevant. We don't blame the victim.
BTW... feel free to say what you feel. No one will hate you, but be prepared to defend the things you say.
