Good information and thanks for sharing. No doubt that these are some common mistakes that many people do so we should avoid these mistakes while doing dead lift.

One big issue I commonly see at the gym are guys who bounce the bar at the bottom ... or "touch and go." It's called DEADlift for a reason. It should be lifted from a dead or stopped position. The main reasoning being that after each rep, you should recompose yourself, get your form back in check and really focus on everything that's going on. This, of course, is all to avoid injury ... which is all too common with the movement. I hate deadlifts because the amount of focus you have to put into it ... but that's also what makes them so rewarding. Lower back tight and arched, upper back rounded at the shoulder blades, arms hanging straight down, toes pointed slightly outwards, remember to drag the bar up the shins, envision pulling the bar up and BACK (not just up), remembering that the power is coming from the hips and not just some barbaric picking shit up and putting it down, etc etc.

Nice post and thanks for this information. These mistakes are really very common and we all repeat these mistakes in our daily life. We should avoid these mistakes.

It's actually better to keep your head down or more in a natural position.. throwing your head back or looking up is causing you spine to make an S shape and loosens up your core. After I learned where to keep my head and a few other little things my dead shoot up just over 700lbs
