MONSTER deadlift day for both me and the wifey. Everything just clicked today. Form felt great, weights felt light and everything moved better than ever. Coach is pissed bc I keep pushing way past his expectations lol
Sumo deads 600x2, 610x1, 620x5
SSB good morning 310lb for 6,6,7
Pause squat 450lb for 4,4,5
Side bends
Ham curls
Wifey:
Conventional 315x8, 325x6, 335x3
SSB good morning 100lb for 8,8,9

Send my video to my coach and he responded with a big “fuck you” followed by “you’ll pull 700 at the meet.” Pretty damn psyched for 6 weeks out.

Accessory bench day went well. Nothing too exciting. A little elbow pain today but not anything unbearable. Pushed through it and had a solid lift. Time to enjoy the holiday weekend!
Close grip bench 320x4, 330x4, 340x4
Overhead press 205lbs for 6,6,7
Pulldowns 210lb for 7,7,8
Barbell rows 320lb for 7,7,9
Sit-ups
Skull crushers

I haven’t been taking it recently bc all my tendinitis issues have been great. The elbow pain isn’t tendon pain it’s more actual joint pain. The tendinitis I was taking the bpc for has pretty much disappeared

Program for this week. 5 weeks out from my meet. Pretty stoked about these numbers. Last meet my max bench was 386lb and he’s got me doing 3 doubles at that weight Wednesday. My max at that same meet for deadlifts was 639lb and I’ll be doing 4 doubles at 635 Friday. At this rate I’ll be opening at my previous meet PRs!

Squats turned out much better than I thought today. Warming up everything felt pretty heavy so I didn’t have high hopes for my fail set. But a little smelling salts before my lift had me AMPED. I try not to use them often during prep so I can save that extra adrenaline kick for the actual meet. But sometimes you just gotta pull out the big guns on days like today.
Squats 535x2, 540x1, 545x4
Leg press 850lb for 8,8,12
Sumo deads 465lb for 3x3
Sit-ups
Ham curls
These are the smelling salts I use. Shit is STRONG.

Oh they’re great! I’d recommend starting with something like these from amazon. They aren’t as strong and they’re easy to just crack, sniff and toss it before a lift. I use them occasionally through prep since they aren’t as strong.
