Back pain after deads.
Hi all,
So yesterday i hit back and hit 3 different prs.
I did 315lbs for 5 and then went on to try 325lbs which i ended up getting 3. My form broke a little bit but nothing crazy. Now i have bad back pain. Like it hurts when i walk, when i turn certain ways and even bend to pick up my 30lb son.
Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated. I don't want to make it worse and i also don't want to miss gym days.
Thanks!

As much as you don't want to hear it is your going to have to rest it and probably miss some gym days because you've got to look at the bigger picture and if you don't you could risk an injury that could sideline you for years if not indefinitely ! Back problems are extremely serious and nothing to take lightly your going to want to use ICE not heat maybe 30 mins on or so a few times a day and ibuprofen and rest if continue or doesn't get better in a day or to you want to go to the doctor and have an x-ray or MRI. Just my opinion but this is one many reasons I think that unless you're competing powerlifting there's not that useful but you can still lift heavy. I'm.not a doctor and don't know you're exact situation so if you feel like you need to see a doctor now do it ! Don't risk it good luck hope it gets better

I wouldn't wait another second. I would go to a chiropractor. I let a back issue go and now once in a while I get to collapse in sreaming pain and crawl into a chiropractor.
I dont deadlift simply because of this injury. I just had a consultation with one today. On preventative measures and strengthening my posture and weak points in my back.
Problem is there are 50 back poppers to every 1 real chiropractor.

I would be willing to go to one. But i have no idea as to how to tell the real ones from the fakes. I know this practice is one of the big ones with scammy shit behind it. You know the ones who stand at the gym with the little booklets and that scammy ass machine saying yep your back is messed up.

I go off how intelligent they are, their location, and their reputation.
Some guy or gal in a strip mall in a small town is not gonna be a good chiro.
A guy right outside the inner city with an enormous brick office and other chiros, massage therapists, accupuncturists, and specialist in his employ is not gonna be stupid 99% of the time.

pursing big muscle by working out hard and using the supplements, I can do it one day.

Exactly what these guys said! I have a ruptured disc, ridiculopothy, and have had my SI come out. None of these are fun at all. Like Born said it’s a lifelong problem now with good days and bad.
I don’t deadlift or squat heavy. No reason for me to do that and injure myself further. Give it a day or two rest and if not better see a dr. Am x-ray will only show bone damage or misaligned spine. Go for the mri, especially if you pain going down your hips, legs, knees.

I agree with born I’d go see a chiropractor as soon as you can just to be on the safe side. I’ve had many many tweaks like you’ve described and it was nothing more than that luckily. Ice and test if nothing else. But it could just as easily be something more serious so to be on the safe side you should get it looked at. Fingers crossed it’s just a tweak and you’ll be back PRing soon!

Thanks for all the feedback. Crazy thing as a kid my back would just like pop out and i couldn't walk for days. That was around the age of 12. I haven't had any back problems since then. Until this.
Yesterday I did some light legs, just machines. I didn't feel much pain and it felt better for awhile towards the end of the workout. Idk if that helps anything.

Make sure you take it easy on deads and squats till your back gets better. I deadlift in the 600s and strained my back a few months ago warming up with 315. There's times I've strained my back maxing out. It happens to everyone eventually, what's important is for you to back off the weights. Till your back to normal in the mean time do 15 mins of stretches for your lower back before and gym sesh and after a gym sesh. That's honestly what helped me. 2 weeks later I started deadlifting again and if I felt discomfort I just backed off. Started at 225 dead world my self back to 605 8 weeks later. Ppl tend to over do it all the time and not know it. Its important to listen to your body. Make sure to go to the chiropractor as well that helped tremendously too.
