We always have them on a cardiac monitor and oxygen ready to go before we have them do anything. I’ve done it on squats. Gotta learn to breath brother. Eddie Hall has done it several times on his heavy deads. I’ve never had that problem before because my deads aren’t even half of his.
The bearing down technique works for immediately lowering RHR but IME it comes down to the culprit.

Man it could be a list of things. Low BP, high BP, low iron, dehydration, low blood sugar....that's where I'd look 1st. But dude passing out under a 405lb squat is how I ended up hospitalized and having L3/L4 & L4/L5 fused. IT'S NO FUCKING JOKE. There's my life pre injury & life post injury.

If this persists I'd see a Dr asap.
