Daed lifting passed out hit the floor the next day was prepared to pass out

Hello BOP nice to see things back up again.
I was deadlifting with dumbbells in my home gym. I passed out on my second set by 2 rep i did 12 reps deadlift in all then woke up on the floor.
Today is 3 days later went to finish i planned on doing 20 sets deadlift with dumbbells 10 to 16 reps per set or exhaustion. on the 3rd set 2nd rep i hit the floor light headed. any advice on anything that can help keep the blood flow going to my head i read that dead lift works mostly glutes and quads even though its a back exercise. i was thinking more caffeine preworkout.

thats heavy duty, passing out, super dangerous

the weight is clearly too heavy or your technique isnt good or nutrition/electrolytes arent good so you keep passing out.

That sucks man. However, if you’re truly passing out, it could be a magnitude of things. Most likely something that anyone on this forum could not diagnose over the internet. I’d definitely go see a doctor and get checked out. They’d probably do extensive blood work on you that would cost you much more to do on your own.

      Hope you figure it out.

Make sure you’re eating, drinking PLENTY of water, and breathing. Never hold your breath on a rep. Also, go get a blood test. Best of luck, brother

Fluids. The strain of holding your breath is like a vagal maneuver. Like taking a big heavy shit. You’re pushing so hard, then when relief hits, you release your breath and get light headed. You’re stimulating the vagus nerve. Sometimes when we go on calls and someone’s heart rate is racing, we will have them bear down like taking a big dump. You have to be careful though. We always have them on a cardiac monitor and oxygen ready to go before we have them do anything. I’ve done it on squats. Gotta learn to breath brother. Eddie Hall has done it several times on his heavy deads. I’ve never had that problem before because my deads aren’t even half of his.

The bearing down technique works for immediately lowering RHR but IME it comes down to the culprit.

Man it could be a list of things. Low BP, high BP, low iron, dehydration, low blood sugar....that's where I'd look 1st. But dude passing out under a 405lb squat is how I ended up hospitalized and having L3/L4 & L4/L5 fused. IT'S NO FUCKING JOKE. There's my life pre injury & life post injury.

If this persists I'd see a Dr asap.

Do you hold your breath the whole time? You raise your BP and then drop your BP drastically from start to finish. You'll see this more on squats and deadlifts because your whole body is moving while tensing your muscles and holding your breath. This is why you get light headed.

Other factors mentioned above should be taken in consideration too
