I would say Christian at this point in my life and have been for they last almost 10 years, but I still hold onto many past practices of Buddhism, QBL, Setian antinomianism, and LHP.

In the end I am a pragmatist, I practice what works for me and those for whom I am responsible

It seems to me that religion is primarily a way to cope with the concept of inevitable death.

I've never been a religious guy, and I figure that what happens after death only matters when you are dead, but when you are dead and it does start to matter there's nothing you can do about it. It's very shallow, I know, but I can't get past it.

If there's a following pertaining to hedonism I suppose I'd fit in there but I'm too much of a narcissistic hipster to allow myself to fit in.

I was brought up Baptist. But these days, I would have to classify myself as a non believer. I do believe religion is man's greatest strength and also his greatest weakness. Many have done some amazing things in the name of God. On the other hand some of the worse things that have ever happened to be in the name of God as well. So I have very mixed feelings lol. But I respect all religions or lack thereof.

Its simple man. Weather its a religion, a guide, or an instructions for use of your fkn dish washer... Scripture can be misinterpreted. It can be twisted, taken out of context to suit those who have a dark heart to begin with, but are also weak. So they need something to back them up, and justify their actions. Unfortunately sometimes a whole shit ton of idiots fall for this line of thought.. just because someone does something in the name of god, doesn't mean it's what God wished for his followers to do

That's a valid point, and I would have to agree with you. I shouldn't blame religion for the evil hearted.
