I am Asatru. I saw someone quoted the Hávamál on another thread. I have wondered if there were any others on BOP.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on religion lately. I believe that most people are probably the religion they are because of their family. Your parents are Christian so you’re Christian as well, Etc.

So I’ve actually been reading about Jewish and Christian religion as well as an atheists perspective on religion.

I’d had to say right now that I’m agnostic

I was raised baptist my parents worked with missions starting churches in small towns my sister got pregnant at 16 and our church outcasted my dad and I saw the political side of all religions at an early age I believe in god I’m a Christian my church is the great outdoors and the sanctuary of my gym I’m an avid hunter and fisherman and thank our creator for all he provides me to harvest I’ve built my life and success in business on the foundation of karma do good and good will come back when I was younger I was in trouble I did bad things and had bad comeback!!

This is an awesome spiritual philosophy! As you laid it out in your post... the politics of church can be disheartening, to me it doesn't make sense that a church would kick out the father of the daughter that gets pregnant. In that situation the church should help that family and support them.

I'm with you ...appreciate life and do the right thing and good will return.
