As a small business owner with only a half dozen employees, a 6 hour workday simply isn't feasible. I pay my hourly employees 2-3 times min wage (for a job I could easily get away with paying around min wage) and pay for the best benefits a small business our size can get. It's a delicate balancing act though. If I had to cut the work day shorter for each employee but still pay them a 8-10 hour day's pay I'd have to make some serious cuts elsewhere. Like hourly pay and being able to provide good benefits.
