[Photo:http: www.ahwang.cn](ECNS) -- Two comparative photos showing a father and son obtaining bodybuilder-like physiques over a period of two decades have become an immediate hit with China's legions of Internet users, the Anhui-based Jianghuai Daily reported.
The older photo was shot at a playground 22 years ago. The father, 43 at the time, is wearing a tank top shirt and has a strong body, while his 12-year-old son looks weak. But in the one taken just before Spring Festival this year, both the father and son show off stunning physiques.
A netizen referred to the grandpa as his "idol," saying that age can't stop one from fulfilling their bodybuilding aspirations. Another marveled at the weak boy becoming a bodybuilder.
The son named He Zhangming, a physical education teacher at a university in Anhui province, told reporters that he started working out when he was 18 years old and has won medals at many national bodybuilding contests.
His father said he was a weightlifting coach before and has focused on bodybuilding since retirement.
"I didn't expect the photos to win so many compliments," he said.
