WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

A Walker, LA man is being held on a $301,000 bond at the Livingston Parish Detention Center after a drug bust that happened June 10, 2014. During the investigation, detectives found $91,000 worth of steroids in many forms, along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Jason Todd Rouse of Walker, LA had been under investigation for approximately one month for narcotics distribution.

Rouse was arrested on five counts of possession with intent to distribute steroids, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

He is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Investigators found approximately 22 bottles of steroids with a street value of about $3,000, more than 100 capsules containing various steroids with a street value of about $3,000, and about $82,000 worth of powder testosterone. They also found a loaded handgun.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, "This is one of the biggest busts we've had tied to powder-based steroids. My Narcotics Team is always on alert - making sure they know who the players are and what they're into. It helps when there's a ‘team' effort – like this joint investigation – to get the bigger players in the drug trade. At this point, this investigation is ongoing and could lead to more arrests in other states."
