Gas City men jailed after 9-month steroid investigation

GAS CITY, Ind. (WISH) — Indiana State Police say after a nine month long investigation, two men from Gas City were arrested this week on preliminary drug charges.


Police say they arrested 37-year-old James Poulson and 37-year-old Robert Davis after developing enough probable cause to do so. They say officers used surveillance techniques before issuing search warrants for Davis’ and Poulson’s homes. Police also searched a storage locker that Poulson uses.


Officers found a hand gun, steroids, prescription medication, syringes, and what they think is a combination drug of ecstasy mixed with another narcotic, usually methamphetamine. Lab tests are pending.


Davis and Poulson were both booked into the Grant County Jail. Poulson faces felony charges for dealing a scheduled I controlled substance, possession of a scheduled III controlled substance, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, and invasion of privacy (with a prior conviction). Davis faces felony charges for dealing a scheduled III controlled substance, possession of a scheduled I controlled substance, and possession of a syringe.
