Two arrested in illegal steroids raid in New Iberia, Louisiana

Authorities in Iberia Parish arrested two people Tuesday in separate raids in an investigation into illegal steroid sales.

Agents with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office narcotics division and the federal Department of Homeland Security arrested Michael Mitchell, 44, after allegedly finding 3.4 pounds of anabolic steroids in raw powder form, 52 vials of anabolic steroids and 652 capsules of anabolic steroids, along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $600 in cash at Mitchell's home, Maj. Ryan Turner with the sheriff's office.

They also raided Complete Physique Personal Training, LLC, on East Admiral Doyle Drive and arrested Constance Simon, 30, alleged to have steroids in her possession, Turner said.

The Secretary of State's Office lists Mitchell as the owner of Complete Physique on East Admiral Doyle.

Mitchell, of New Iberia, was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule III narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and monies derived from drug transactions.

Simon, of Youngsville, was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule III narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
