McDONOUGH — A $20,000 bond was set Friday for a Henry County man who stands accused of using UPS to send steroids.
Jonathan Bing Hom, 32, of McDonough was apprehended by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Thursday. He is charged with distributing steroids, which is a felony.
Court documents state that authorities executed a search warrant in August on a package that contained about 20 vials of human growth hormone. Hom was allegedly captured on video shipping the package which was intercepted at a UPS store in Jacksonville, according to a warrant in the case.
“Hom was distributing the steroid to a civilian without a valid prescription,” the warrant states.
Hom was released from the Henry County Jail Thursday on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing in his case was reset to Oct. 16.
