i buy the cheapest shit on the shelfs which is always body fortress whey or isolate. 20 bucks for your typical bucket. in my eyes its either real protein or its not.
Read this article about a current class action lawsuit going on with protein powder manufacturers. Hopefully it will help you stay away from the bad ones. Also, you want to make sure you buy whey ISOLATE and not just the standard whey.
-Allmax Iso Natural-The only protein that has an accurate nutritional facts label as far as protein content, they don't count bullshit like glutamine toward the amount of protein per serving.
-Isopure Zero by Natures Best
Both are a little pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for.

Agree, I dont really see the need for any other kind of protein besides ISOLATE (fast digesting high quality expensive stuff here).
I drink my shakes PRE-gym and POST-gym, both or 1 of the two. I dont want some kind of slow digesting crap.
The reason to stay away from cheap protein? Specifically "Blends" is because its like a supplement that has a "proprietary blend"
which simply means we are blending a whole bunch of BS you dont need in order to hide it from you. WHICH USUALLY MEANS,
its WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE - which the human body has a very difficult time digesting and is extremely cheap. So lets throw
in a "protein blend" thats 80% concentrate, 10% isolate, and 10% some other bullshit and you can just NOT digest it and shit/piss
it all out. Pissing and shitting dollar bills down the toilet my friends.
NOW MEGA PACK 10LBS ISOLATE
* Soy Lecithin is in everything, it prevents sticking and
clumping together - this is the "unflavored" version thats
why it doesn't have any "natural flavoring" or "cocoa" in
the ingredients, but as you can see, quality.
I have to be careful about the whey I buy - I am lactose intolerant. I buy the cold filtered whey isolate from TrueNutrition. I get no gastrointestinal issues from it.

Isolate has extremely low lactose in it, like <1%. Look it up. It will NOT cause any lactose interolance issues with you if you stick to isolates. Search on Google..
