I use to do B-12 injections and didn't really think they did much. Just my opinion.

      Methylcobalamin Injection -VS- Cyanocobalamin Injection

      Methylcobalamin Injection

This B12 Injection is Methylcobalamin. Injectable B12 Methylcobalamin is the best and purest source of Vitamin B12.
Methylcobalamin B12 is better absorbed than Cyanocobalamin. Vitamin B12 injections is are important for:

      • absorption of foods
      • proper digestion
      • DNA
      • healthy nerve cells
      • red blood cells

Vitamin B12, known as cobalamin, is commonly available in two forms: Methylcobalamin and Cyanocobalamin. Proper absorption of vitamin B12 requires normal function of the digestive system, specifically the stomach, pancreas, and small intestine. B12 is typically available as an oral B12 supplement or as a vitamin B12 injection. Because of poor absorption into the body, Vitamin B12 injections are by far the most effective method for supplementation. Whether in the form of a B12 tablet, capsule or as Vitamin B12 shot, it has the most complex chemical structure of all the B12 shots. Methylcobalamin is the form of vitamin B12 used in the human body, whereas Cyanocobalamin is the most prevalent form used as a nutritional supplement. In order for Cyanocobalamin to be utilized by the body it must first be converted to Methylcobalamin and 5-deoxyadenosy. Because Cyanocobalamin requires the secondary step of being converted to Methylcobalamin in the body, it is the least efficient means to cure the body of a Vitamin B deficiency.
Methylcobalamin is the only form of b12 injection that is naturally supported by the human body without having to go through an unnecessary chemical breakdown.
According to studies, Vitamin B12 deficiency affects at least 10% of individuals over age 60. According to the Linus Pauling Institute the most common forms for Vitamin B12 deficiency are autoimmune conditions and food-bound vitamin B12 malabsorption. Both causes, though separate, become more prevalent with age.
**This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or mitigate any disease.
Methylcobalamin 1000mcg/ml compounded Vitamin B12 injection is available in 10ml and 30ml vials (10-30 doses for injections).
      Dosing:
1ml Intramuscular 1-2 times per week.

      Cyanocobalamin Injection

The least expensive and popular B12 Injection Kit. This B12 Injection is Cyanocobalamin. This form of vitamin b12 has been used for many years for many conditions. It is easily converted systemically to Methylcobalamin for use by the body.
Vitamin B12 Injections is the name for a class of chemicals known as cobalamins that are commonly available in two major forms: Methylcobalamin and Cyanocobalamin. The most practical method to improve vitamin B12 levels are through B12 injections and B12 oral supplementation (typically capsule, tablet or in powdered form). B12 shots are, by far, the most efficient and beneficial method for Cyanocobalamin supplementation. Cyanocobalamin shots are the most common and most inexpensive types of B12 injections. Cyanocobalamin is almost exclusively the only form of B12 added to food and used in dietary supplements. Cyanocobalamin naturally is converted to Methylcobalamin through the chemical processes of the body.
      Ingredients:
      Cyanobalamin 1000mcg
      per ml solution

      Dosing:
1ml Intramuscular 1-2 times per week.

**This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or mitigate any disease.

      Cyanocobalamin
      B12 Vitamin Injections

      • Vitamin B12 is helpful with:
      • Proper digestion
      • Absorption of foods
      • Maintaining healthy nerve cells and red blood cells
      • Making DNA.
      • Proper energy metabolism
      • Immune function
      • Nerve function
      • Muscle weakness
      • Spasms
      • Ataxia (unsteady gait and shaky movements)
      • Incontinence
      • Vision problems
      • Hypotension
      • Hypotension

Dementia, psychoses, and mood disturbances are but a few of the disorders which have recently been linked to possible vitamin B12 deficiencies.
Cyanocobalamin is the most commonly used form of vitamin B12. It does not occur naturally in living organisms. However, the synthetic form of the vitamin can be converted into an active form such as Methylcobalamin in animals. This results in the release of very little amounts of cyanide which is not harmful. It is more stable and can be easily crystallized. This makes it easy to purify after it has been produced through in vitro synthesis or bacterial fermentation. The cyanide ligand is replaced by other groups such as methyl which are more biologically active. It is useful in the prevention and treatment of low blood levels of the vitamin. The vitamin associates with Intrinsic Factor to help in maintaining good health of the body. Cyanocobalamin may be prescribed for treatment of a number of vitamin B12 deficiencies resulting from a variety of causes. Benefits of Cyanocobalamin include: Maintaining the cell Cyanocobalamin helps in maintaining a variety of cells in the human body. This includes formation, maintenance, and repair of cells such as the red blood cells. It also helps in the repair and sustaining nerve cells and maintaining a stronger nervous system. Formation of DNA The vitamin contributes significantly in the formation of DNA in the human body. This occurs during division of cells and Cyanocobalamin plays a central role. Deficiency of vitamin B12 may result in abnormal cell formation such as megaloblasts. This makes it important to include the vitamin in the diet. Cyanocobalamin helps in improving stamina and thus helps in relieving the body from fatigue and weakness. This helps the body withstand heavy work/ exercises. It also helps to reduce cholesterol levels in the body by controlling triglycerides levels. This contributes positively to a normal healthy heart. Moreover, the vitamin has been shown to contribute positively to individuals suffering from sickle cell anemia, Alzheimer’s disease, anemia, and breast cancer. A number of studies have also shown the vitamin to help in increased weight loss through increased fat metabolism. The supplements have been associated with several side effects such as chest pains, nausea, dizziness and fever among others following the injection. The medication comes as an injection, oral pills, and nasal drops and should be taken under directions and instructions by the physician.
