Mg Supplementation with Vitamin D
I am not a fan of use Vitamin D like most others. High doses of D can cause calcification of our cells and artists, as well as deplete magnesium in a body that’s already depleted. Mg regulates over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body so depletion of it just makes matters worse....and if you look at the biochemistry of it, mg is a precursor to producing D. So when you see low D, think Mg deficiency not low Vitamin D. But if you do take D, always supplement with Mg (malate preferentially).
Mg is essential in the metabolism of vitamin D, and taking large doses of vitamin D can induce severe depletion of Mg. Adequate magnesium supplementation should be considered as an important aspect of vitamin D therapy.

Good post. Oftentimes we just see what's working for others and throw it in our supplement stack without research. Vitamin D is one of the more tricky ones.
