EAAs
Hey guys.
I was wondering if there was anyone that has taken any EAA supplements as a protein supplement? I have a buddy who swears by supplements like HumaPro as one of his primary protein sources (due to high essential amino acid content), especially on a cut. I was curious y'all's thoughts on it, or if anyone here uses them?

Nah, but I do use NowSports Essential 9 plain powder. It’s $21 for 59 servings of about 7g +
I used it 30min-40min before weights , water or water with HBCD/Electrolytes Intra workout , then a post workout shake . But…I’ve neger had anyone I know use as their primary protein . I use bcaa caps when I’m on super low kcals , high anabolics just to try and salvage as much muscle as possible

I would never ever rely on supplements as a protein source. I do think fermented eaas are a good supplement but I wouldn't count it towards my daily food intake. I promise you, you dont need any supplements as long as you eat enough. And you'll get way better results with real food.
As far as supps I only recommend fish oil, fiber, some type of pre workout occasionally, and maybe a daily vitamin. Other than that just buy food instead of powders.

I tell people that all the time. Real food is the key to growing.

Dang, so do you not use much of protein shakes, and things of that nature? You just eat a lot? I'm trying to gain mainly lean mass without putting on too much fat, I already try to eat primarily meat.

I don’t use any protein powder. Just eat, if I have to do a shake it’s made with whole food blended. Only time I drink a protein shake is when I can’t get to actual food but I couldn’t tell u the last time that happened

Damn that's awesome man. What are your go to things for high protein? I know some like jerky strips and snack throughout the day, and some just eat a lot of chicken.
