Anavar and TRT
Ok guys, here is a question I've been unable to google an answer too. Does Anavar show up in any way on a testosterone TRT blood test? I'm not talking about detecting metabolites from a screening standpoint. I'm talking about does it show up in any of the TRT type blood tests. I'm currently on Cypionate from my PA, so i've already got a regular exogenous source of test in my blood. So affects on normal test production nothwithstanding (I would imagine I've already shut a significant portion of natty test down). I'm really trying to avoid any odd results which may screw with my current schedule. Currently on 160 mg of Cyp per week. Thanks

While I am not on TRT, I have heard that EQUIPOSE will raise your testosterone. I've never heard anything about Anavar and would feel safe running it for a test. I know for sure that Deca doesn't show, and you could walk in pumping 5g of it lol Hopefully someone with personal experience can chime in. Also, push come to shove the half life is very short, if you cut it out a few days prior it wouldn't have any effect on your T levels.(if it did) Again, though, I'd feel safe running it during a test.

I'm on TRT and what you will probably see if you run anavar or any other DHT close to the time you get your blood work done is an increase in free testosterone. DHT's are know for increasing free test but really should not effect total test levels. If your PA test free test you may consider dropping the anavar several weeks prior to the test. No one can say how much of an increase you will have but I'd bet it will be noticeable but probably not alarming to the PA.

The short answer is no, Var will not show up on your TRT blood panel. However, your doc may notice some changes in your HDL/LDL, Cholesterol and Triglycerides levels.

Did a 6 week cycle at 80mg a day of anavar only. Was my first ever cycle. Got blood test done after the 6 weeks and I can confirm that anavar shuts u right down. My test levels were pretty much destro. 2.1 nmol/L supposed to be at 8.3 - 29 nmol/L and was previously at 20 before i did anavar. Free test was 11.2 pmol/L supposed to be 25 - 120 pmol/L.
Also my lipid results absolutely tanked. HDL went from 1.8 to 0.9 and LDL went from 3.2 to 4.8. Cholesterol went from 5.3 to 6.0. Triglycerides sta constant. Chol/HDL went from 2.9 to 6.7 and is supposed to be <5.
On a positive note, my liver, kidney and thyroid function results were all in the normal ranges, as were my glucose levels.
I have enough anavar to do 4 more weeks and am contemplating it based on the fact that Im already shut down anyway so I am going to have to do a proper PCT regardless so I may as well. Not sure if that logic is flawed?? Are my lipid levels very dangerous? Would it be too risky running it for another 4 weeks? Any advice would be appreciated.
In the future I will definitely do test with anavar. Would it make any sense starting test now or should I save it for after my PCT?

FWIW, low test can cause fucked up cholesterol. It may or may not be the Anavar, I don't know for sure.

User experience seems to point to the fact that prolonged use of Var does bring your good cholesterol down and your bad cholesterol up. One can take flax seed oil to help with this.
Var's effect on Cholesterol is further explained in the below article:
At one time oxandrolone was also looked at as a possible drug for those suffering from disorders of high cholesterol or trigfycerides. Ear(y studies showed it to be capable of lowering total cholesterol and triglyceride values in certain types of hyperlipidemic patients, which initially this was thought to signify potential for this drug as a hypo-lipid (lipid lowering) agent'°. With further investigation we find however that while use of this drug can be linked to a lowering of total cholesterol values, it is such that a redistribution in the ratio of good (HDL) to bad (LDL) cholesterol occurs, usually moving values in an unfavorable direction4' 48. This would of course negate any positive effect that the drug might have on triglycerides or total cholesterol, and in fact make it a danger in terms of cardiac risk when taken for prolonged periods of time. Today we understand that as a group anabolic/androgenic steroids produce very unfavorable changes in lipid profiles, and are really not useful in disorders of lipid metabolism. As an oral c17 alpha alkylated steroid, oxandrolone is probably even more risky to use than an injectable esterified injectable such as a testosterone or nandrolone in this regard.
