If you're just using Testosterone only, and at a low to moderate dose, you really only need blood work 1-2 times a year.

I usually just like to see what my total and free test levels are. I also get a liver and kidneys functions test at least annually.

My doctor likes me to do the same thing once a year. Funnily he has me use Nolvadex at this time. He says that he's found that men develop thyroid imbalance if they stay on test all the time. Personally I don't feel bad when he has me come off. I suppose it's one of those things that everyone has different reactions to. And I may feel differently in the future.

90% of doctors, including urologists and endocrinologists have no clue WTF they are doing in regards to TRT. I've been through 3 urologists, 3 endos, and like 4 family doctors.

So, no break ever from TRT? Sounds good to me!! Any risks from doing this? And--I hate to keep beating this drum, but--I'm still a little confused as to what the purpose of getting regular blood work done if I'm constantly and permanently on TRT. What would I be checking for?

You are checking to make sure your T levels stay consistent - usually more important during the first year just to get your dosage dialed in for your specific body.

There are different ranges that medical professionals use for "normal T levels" by age bracket. Usually it's 400-1100 and I'll tell you right now, at 400-600 you'll feel like a bag of shit. I feel best right around 900-1000. But it's different for everyone I suppose.

They can also check your hematocrit and CBC just to make sure everything looks normal.

I suppose you could say the purpose of getting blood work every once in a while is to just make sure nothing looks out of the norm.

So, based on everyone's feedback, I guess I'm deciding to never come off of TRT. No breaks. Too many negatives, and, for me, no positive benefits to taking a break, it sounds like... So, that said, what is a good cruise dose for TRT in your opinions? Right now, I'm doing a cycle of 550mg Test and 500mg Tren per week. I'll do this for 12 to 16 weeks (haven't decided yet), and then I'll come off for--how long, one month? During that time, I'm considering cruising at 200mg Test per week. Or is this too much?

So, hoping for some suggestions regarding cruise duration (one month not long enough?) and cruise dose (200mg/week good or not?)...
