TRT - Young & Dumb - Seeking help

Hi Everyone.

Typical inexperienced TRT user here. Did it completely incorrectly (without doctor supervision/bloodwork). Getting bloodwork tomorrow. Looking for anyone who is willing to help me out a bit via Private Message answering some questions.

I've been pinning 125mg once a week for the last 24 months roughly.

I've never met my doctor and was curious if I should tell them about the TRT, or simply get blood work done and report back here before moving forward. I fear most doctors dont know what the hell they're talking about, and am also thinking my mental health problems may be unrelated to my TRT usage if my bloodwork is OK.

Any advice is appreciated.

If you are going to do it on your own then get blood work and post it. I would not get one guy off the boards and just take this strangers opinion for what is healthy for your body. If you want to get a Dr. then come off everything then go she the Dr. If you keep using and tell him that you are using illegal drugs and you want him to help you do them now. He will most likely be very conservative in his approach as you have already proven that you will do drugs illegally.

If your gonna work with your MD and insurance, go off, get labs and it will show low. Most likely he/she will rx 100mg a wk. you can always do that at home and add the 25mg but also split that dose in .75mg 2x a wk (mon and Thursday). But definitely get labs done once off for 3wks. If you go private, same thing. If you stay on or get bloods sooner you will come on high. That will be a red flag. Don’t assume anything. My MD rx me 100mg a wk. I bought more and split my dose up 2x a wk. As my lab date gets closer I titrations down. But get labs snd Post them, talk with your MD and do it “right.”
