Alright boys. I went in a little while back and had a really good appointment with the doctor. I brought in a bunch of previous bloodwork and impressed the shit out of him. He knows quite a bit about TRT and after about an hour of going back and forth talking about everything I decided to jump on.

He put me on 200mg of test cyp per week. I go back in 3mo to do more bloods and meet with him again. He's a little loose with it but also knowledgeable about everything. He said he'd keep me at the top end of the "normal" scale (1000-1200 ng/dl) if I felt good there and I wasn't having too many sides. We talked about HCG, clomid, AIs and everything else.

He said he has had good luck with fertility on HCG and clomid and really saw no issues with it. I really hope that's the case if/when we decide to have #2 but I will cross that bridge when I get there.

He advised me to do two subq shots per week of 100mg each. I didn't have any pins for that so my first two shots have been IM but I have some pins on order. I wasn't about to pay $2 a piece and the pharmacy. BTW, $35 per month for pharm grade test isn't too bad at all! For some reason my insurance didn't cover it?? But he gave me a "goodrx" card and it's super cheap so I'm not complaining.

Why are docs recommending sub q injections? Did he give a reason for that?

I believe it's mainly to alleviate the buildup of scar tissue over time and there are actually a few studies showing increased absorption.
