30yr Old Total T at 301ng/dl. TRT?
Hey guys I need some advice. I'm not new around here, I was here when BOP first started and then I fell off. I haven't cycled anything for about 5 years. Life caught up with me and I graduated college, got married, had a baby.... etc. Been out of the gym for about 2 years. Things have finally settled down and I'm getting back into the swing of things. I'm in the gym daily and my diet is on point. I've felt sluggish and just not myself for a while now, probably 2 years or so. I thought maybe that's just what having a kid does to you. I'm struggling in the gym lifting anything with much weight. Before I quit I was repping 315 squats all day with a 2 rep max of 515. Now I'm lucky to get 6 reps at 315. Could just be cause I'm a pussy
I'm very experienced with running my own cycles, doing bloods and staying on top of things. I've ran a lot of compounds about 8-5 years ago. I always PCT'd and I felt I used everything responsibly. I was wanting to run a 12 week prop/var cycle and I decided that since I haven't ran anything in a long time this was a perfect opportunity to get some base level bloods done. Well I'm certainly glad I did.
I have an old test from 2012 that was 6-8weeks after a PCT. My Total T was 609, LH was 7.5, FSH was 7.1 and Estradiol was 41.2 (kinda high?)
Well I got my test results in from my most recent test last week and my total T came back at 301, LH at 5.5, FSH at 7.5, and estradiol at 24. Everything else seems to be in range and looking good.
That shit seems super low to me. That's after me training pretty hard for the past six months. Dropping about 15lbs, and eating right damn near every day. I'd hate to see what it was before I got back at it.
I'm not really sure what to do here. I'm not against running TRT. Blast and cruise seems awesome, but I imagine that I will feel a lot better if I get my total T in a normal range. I'm 30 so it seems that I'm kind of young for this but it is what it is. My wife and I want to have one more kid in about 3 years. The last time it took us a solid 4mo to get pregnant. Not sure if my levels have anything to do with that. Will going on TRT make trying for a kid in a few years harder?
Should I go to my primary care doc and make up some excuse why I have these blood tests? My dad is legit on TRT and I could say that when he was first diagnosed I went and got a baseline. I'm a bio major so maybe he would believe that. Should I go try to find some sort of TRT clinic? I have doubts that my primary care doc is educated on modern endo stuff. With my total T still being "in range" I'm afraid he'd tell me to pound sand. But I also don't want to get raked over the coals and spend a shit ton of money at a specialty clinic. I really just want to do whats best for my health and well being. I'll happily cycle and PCT but I imagine that I will feel like shit after I come off.
Looks like I will put my next cycle on hold until I get this shit ironed out. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks y'all.

I went and saw holistic Dr. My test was same as yours. She prescribed test c 200mg. 1.4cc per week. They will want to run their own blood work which will cost you but will prescribe you test. She said she wanted me to be around 1000. She prescribed me three months worth which I had to get refilled monthly. Rather than continue to spend the money on doctors appointments I chose to blast and cruise.

Did you get bloods done before 8am? Cause numbers decrease throughout the day which im sure u know...aside from that your in range though be it at the bottom pretty much ...depending on whos chart i beleive most common is 240...so in this case most primary or even endos will say your fine....UNLESS ....your having symtoms of low t...exam...cant get preg...no sex drive ...depression...cant grow facial hair etc things like this...they will not just go by number if their good at least my op....though honestly most just treat numbers not people....yes if you go on for a period of yrs gonna make it harder to have kids and possibly not at all...case by case basis...all up to you...i personnally think your too young...now if yoy were done having kids thats diff....i started trt at 38...im 40 now...but had vasectomy etc ....up to you bro...

How old were you when you started? You just blast and cruise without going back for checkups? I have buddies that do that too. I just want a doc to fall back to if/when we want to try for another kid, if my estrogen gets high, etc.

Bloods were pulled at 8am. Yeah it's a lot to consider honestly.

Will you be trying to get Dr trt or running your own . Cause I know all dr are different but their is a threshold they go buy when it comes to prescribing. 1 is your age and 2 obviously the number. @ 30 yrs old that is a very low number . I been on trt since around 32 and I had a low number but I manipulated my test level by using test and stopping a rip-off 5 week or so then got a blood test. I tell you what if you have a hard time getting a dr to prescribe my buddy just went thru this company I believe it was called Titan medical or something. I hope o can say this name. All he had to do was pay I believe 400 l$ they sent him a script for labs do a phone conciliation. And he get his test for 60$ a month. I know it’s a bit high but that is thru a clinic that will monitor your numbers to see what is going to work for you. They also do gh therapy but you gotta be brad Pitt rich to afford it.. and your primary care most likely will not prescribe this. I see my urologist who specializes in means health and I am a big believer in testosterone and men’s health. A endocrinologist will send you they the loop with test and other things I am pretty sure. Also bring you old test that was 600ng and bring the new one so they can see over the years what has happened. I am not sure to should admit to aas use. They may frown on that. Hope this helps. As if all else fails their are other avenues on the board.

I was 32. I’m 35 now. I did have nut cancer when I was 20 so I’m running on a half tank anyway. I get bloodwork done every 6 month or so from my family doc. Always normal besides test being through the roof. 2980 last time but I was running test E 1.5g a week and dbol at that time. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. You will need to figure out what works best for you. I have 4 kids. None since starting gear not even a scare and we never use any birth control. If you want more children I would stay clean till your done. If you want a boost you can pin HCG not sure on dose but it will boost your testosterone. Also before anyone asks I get full CT scan every year cause of my past history. I just stay clear of GH.

Thanks man. Yeah I believe I would like to go through a doctor to get prescribed so I can have a legit prescription and be monitored every so often even if that does mean I have to be careful and time any blasts that I plan on running. I will most definitely not mention any previous AAS usage. There is a low T clinic close to me but after looking at their website they make you come in every 7 to 10 days for a shot. I'm not doing that shit, I'd be looking for getting a script and doing it myself. Worst case is I will do it myself if it comes down to it but I would like a medical opinion and some support just in case. Thanks for the input. I'm not really interested in GH right now. I just dont want to go to my primary doc and him say that I'm in normal range cause that would piss me off.

Well I found a doc that seems to be somewhere in the middle between a typical GP and a wellness clinic. Going in tomorrow to review my previous tests and give another blood draw. I will let you know what we find out. Still on the fence about jumping on but I want to get a second opinion and get some more detailed blood work done.

I'm 30 as well, literally just started TRT - did my third injection today... I am very similar to you.. 30 but with a total test of 300, a free of 8, and an estrogen of 54... The doc I saw deals with a lot of bodybuilders and has a lot of experience with this. Things to consider that would drop your natural T that I can think of that may apply to you - weight loss/prolonged calories deficit, stress, lack of sleep, intense work outs without adequate deloading. For me, it was probably mostly stress/ lack of sleep due to my job that dropped my natural T. My weight training sessions sucked and I was tired all the time. Doc put me on test and arimdex after explaining this, and it has made a huge difference already, and I know its not just placebo. I do want kids eventually, and my doc basically told me not to worry about it. The test would make me feel better for now, and if I "met a nice girl and wanted kids" to just call him up and he would put me on HGH and clomid. He told me with all the patients he had has not had one problem with fertility, unless they had a long history of anabolic abuse. Just my experience.. decision is ultimately up to you.

Thank you for the input Tank! Glad to hear some more stories about this subject.
