I tries sub q shots at first when First started trt. Those shots left big welts on my stomach. I prefer IM shots over sub Q. They hurt less. Even a 27 gauge half inch was leaving welts on my stomach and love handles. IM is the way to go!

I have my fiancée inject either in my low back upper ass or in my outer quads I’ve done up to 1.5ml and never had an issue except for one incident and that was a mistake on my part.

Ok and so all this sub q stuff is for slower release of test into body? And less pain?

I feel it releases the same amount into the body. Yes there is less pain, I think it’s good for people who are nervous about the shots but need the treatment due to low T it helps get past the fear of muscle injections. My dr said that sub q and intramuscular are no different in terms absorption the body handles it really well both ways.
