Hi, Brothers-

I thought I'd post my early TRT experience in the hopes it may benefit others. I'll try to keep it to-the-point.

I started experiencing classic low test symptoms, so I chose an online provider. I went through the battery of tests, and my DHEA number was very low, in addition to my T levels.

During the consult, they inquire of my stress levels (off-the-charts at that time). So my regimen included DHEA, in addition to 90mg Test C every 4th day (about 720mg / month), as well as HCG and anastrozole.

I research DHEA, and settle on a transdermal, bio-identical DHEA (big mistake, I would later find out). I start my regimen, and 6 months later, my first labs are drawn, with T levels STILL in the 500's. WTF, I thought, while my provider was a bit perplexed. They start asking me questions, including DHEA use. I disclose that I was using a transdermal, bio-identical DHEA. I got my ass chewed, and was told to use a quality oral DHEA. They also pulled one more lab looking at Pregnenolone levels. Like the DHEA level, it, too, was low. Pregnenolone ordered.

Fast-forward 6 months - my Total T levels were in the 900's - perfect !

__________

My message is to my brothers is this: DO NOT discount the power of DHEA and Pregnenolone - the "parent" hormones. If those two levers are not proper, you can pin your ass all you want, and it'll do no good.

I believe it is worth the trouble to closely monitor and adjust those two levels.
