it is not a requirement for testoerone labs, but i fast before any lab for the most accurate readings...even if it would only fluctuate the results a little. i would fast.

I had to ask a doctor about it myself. It can skew test, fsh, and something else.

Wonder why doctors dont tell you that prior to the test then? I go to the veteran's hospital and they didnt even tell me to fast, let along avoid sex. Then again, that's why this forum is important! Thanks again!

It was on my sheet for quest labs so I had to ask. Then wait for them to get a doctor who wasn’t sure. I ended up talking to a female doctor who is interested in endocrinology before I knew why. I want my tests as accurate as possible as I get older.
