Yeah I hear ya. Here's the thing. I used to drink 2 cups and none after 12...then I started doing a 3 pm coffee . Then I would have 3 to 4 in the morning...another after lunch and another at 3!
Just too much. Nowadays I'm having trouble sleeping. So i am slowly backing away from the coffee for starters.
Today I drank green tea and that has caffeine but not as much and it also has L-theanine which is good for you and they think L-theanine counter acts the caffeine so you don't get all jittery.
By drinking green tea which also has other health benefits and also having some alkalizing powdered greens along with my breakfast I feel I got off to a good start. I felt good at the gym.
But...when I got home from the gym I drank 1 cup of coffee. Funny thing is..i got sleepy!
And that s it. I went from drinking a pot of coffee (about 1000mg of caffeine) to drinking one cup. And I switched my coffee to a coffee that has mushroom in it. So it only has 50mg of caffeine.
Oh and I drink green tea after dinner too so it's not like I'm caffeine free...but like I said study's show that L-theanine counters the caffeine.

I only have 2 cups Nespresso Lungo a day. I prefer tea.
I did fasted cardio and weights today.
Breakfast was an egg white omelet Mediterranean and goats cheese, lunch was home made spicy parsnip soup and a protein wrap.

Trained back and bis today...no coffee yet it's 1 pm already...but after my lunch I'm grabbing a coffee and that will be my only one. I did notice I was a little irritated this morning so I guess that morning jolt is missed a little.
Typical first 2 meals
Eggs and oats
Oats and pro powder
Bout to eat a vegetarian lunch now
