Keto to get diced. Any input?
So I started keto a few days ago and Im not 100% sure what the fuck im doing. I just kept my cals at where I was dieting 2400 per day and I dont feel like this is correct. I feel like I should maybe be closer to my maintenance. My current macro breakdown is 30g carbs (net), 120g protein, and 200 fats. This is roughly the 75/20/5 standard macro split.
Saturday was ok, still had around 80g carbs. Sunday was pretty awful, had around 30g net. Tired and lethargic all day and had a hell of a headache. Today was better but I seemed to burn through my calories very early, poor planning i guess. I was a little tired but no headache, still had a great workout.
I am also supplementing magnesium and potassium as well.
Anyone got a fool proof way to figure a starting point?

You need to drop your carbs super low to get in ketosis quicker, your experiencing the Keto flu , keep fats and sodium high then once your in, stay under 20g net carbs not 30

Ya I'd drop the carbs a little and honestly I wouldn't use that protein to fat ratio. I'd increase my fats but still have it lower than my protein making protein my highest macro, moderate fats, no carbs.

Well to drop fat before a bulk but honestly just kind of an expirament to see how i respond. Also hoping it will increase insulin sensitivity for when i stop keto and start building again.

Going through that myself just came out of Keto I've experienced crazy tiredness and fatigue but I'm starting to get used them again it's been a week and a half and I've noticed my strength has sky rocketed

I would slowly drop your carbs down so your body becomes fat adaptive without crashing like you are. You can become fat adaptive and not necessarily be in ketosis. Another great way to increase insulin sensitivity is fasting. Also metformin is great for a "reset" to help combat insulin resistance.

Today is day 4 of the keto business. Felt ok most of the day, a little tired and a bit of a headache came on around noon or so. Took a couple advil and some magnesium and potassium and it went away before I hit the gym. I am pissing like crazy and trying to consume 2 gal+ water a day. Day 2 into day 3 I dropped 4.2lbs over night....crazy right? Today I woke up at 204.2 same as yesterday. Going to try and run this out for at least 2 weeks and see where im at and how I feel. Current macros are a little flexible but are around 120-150g protein, 200-230g fats, and 30g carbs (net). I may adjust things next week depending where I am on Sunday.
