      rest is important???????

      I hear everyone say that rest is important, but how much is really necessary while bulking? I dont know if that makes a difference or not. Is 7-8 hours a night ok? If I sleep 8-9 hours would that be to much and have a negative effect? Also would mid-day naps be beneficial? Just trying to learn!

      It depends on the quality of sleep your getting in that timeframe. If your waking up refreshed and feeling good instead of sluggish and still tried you should be good. I feel off if I get too little or too much sleep and sometimes for me sleeping too much is worse. They say mid day nap no less than 15 min but no more that 45 min are excellent for a refresher.

      I agree with d-man here. If you can take a nap....especially after your workouts (pwo meal and whatever else you got going). The intensity at which I workout I find it to be extremely beneficial to take a nap after.

      Rest is one of the most important parts of training bro. 7-9 hours shoudl be good. I used to take power naps also before a gym workout sometimes. Remember, you dont grow when you lift - you grow when you eat & rest.

      rest is absolutely necessary ,but 7-8h is ok. from my experience,rest has little effect on bulking

      Got to get rest to grow bro. I'd say anywhere from 6-9 hours is fine. 6 hours being the minimum. Of course 8 hours a night is recommended, but I find myself still ok and functional on 6. Any less and I'm toast.
