Well we made crazy good progress today on our job... I definitely crack the whip if my boys want to get paid time and a half on a job. Same as the prevailing wage jobs... no slothing around on my watch if they want that good money... I definitely see how much more productive they are when Im cracking whips lol... which lets be real here, these guys had to dig deep today... we worked like madmen all week in extreme heat (for us out here in the PNW anyway lol)... so these guys really impressed me and made me proud... 12 hour day though... I treated them to a bomb ass burger joint we have here locally... they all showed up lol.. money well spent to see everyone in such good spirits after a long week though...
My energy is returning and the stamina has definitely increased. Im grateful for this.
My sleep is getting worse unfortunately... but I refuse to buy any more sleep aids... Ill give it a few weeks to let my body clean out before deciding how to proceed... the restless legs is acting up though, despite the meds.. which means they need to increase the dose already.. which Im not ok with tbh.. these meds are for Parkinsons, Im comfortable at low doses only...
Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow and getting some down time...

50mg proviron
50mg metoprolol (BP meds)

Glad you have a good crew!
I spent a lotta years hoping for the boss to take the crew to lunch as a reward and he did so a lot.
Had a lotta good times on lunch break.
Good job brother

Its truly amazing how far simple atta boys go... when theyre heartfelt and genuine... they cost nothing but they give you everything... and all for simply stating the truth.. the meal, was just a good cap off to the hard work week...
Then I think, ya know, it says a lot if a crew works 65+ hours in a week together, on high stress work and deadlines... but all show up to break bread together after the long week and just shoot the shit.. not one dude didnt show up... too bad I cant keep these guys lol... we all will move on after next week to other jobs... I wish my work wouldnt do that... establish crews and keep them together I say... stop splitting us all up... but its too busy... we have so much work and not enough guys... so we spread out and thin out and then gangbang a job needing to be caught up on...
oh well, enjoy the highs to get through the lows right? ;0)

Never lose that real sense you have.
I watched the company owner become a multimillionaire very quickly over a few years and I slowly watched his pats on the back become something he did just going through the motions and it finally became a slap in the face. I would still do anything for the guy but I was standing in a ditch breaking every osha code available to make him rich and I finally realized he was never gonna let me outta the ditch because I worked like five guys. I had my heart set on climbing a ladder that I held for others.
I made more money than anyone he employed but it was an impossible job. I understand completely that business is business but they day I finally realized what was going on, it broke my fucking heart in a ditch soaking wet covered in mud. All the money made him lose sight of the three man crew that grew into 100+ employees.
The only one of the original three left is his son.
If money means more than brotherhood and a lunch with a boss that actually cares... I choose to be broke lol!

Man do I understand that heartbreak well... I hate what money does to people..
money doesnt have those effects on me.. i come from nothing... I have had nothing... I have had everything... then back to nothing.. now I cruise on the lower end of the middle and Im content on having my needs met...
Those who lose sight of whats important, because dollars make them blind, reap the shadows that grow on their inside because of it...

This right here is something that needs to be written on a stone tablet just above the ten commandmets.
Seriously that is the best thing I have read in years.
