      Fighting Bad Pancreas/Pre Log/Background

      Hey everyone.
Only been here a short while but feel right at home. Feel BOP is a great place to be. I'm 49 and been training since 13-14, seriously since 22 and first started using at 26. I was lucky and made friends with a nurse and an emt and they took care of me and looked out for me.
Fast forward to Jan 2011. I would binge drink in a big way and led to pancreatitis that put me in hospital for 5 days. Stopped drinking and contained my training like normal and I was fine. Til Jan 2012, almost to the day, binge drinking again. Only this time I was in real bad shape. The damn pain was just unbearable. Worst pain ever. Getting sick all over the damn place. So, I was diagnosed with pancreatitis, DT's and pneumonia all at the same time. Was put in medically induced coma which I stayed in for 8 days. 5 days longer than doctors had hoped.
Lost serious weight. Thru 2012 I worked my ass off and got back to my regular 230-235lbs.
Everything was cool til Nov 2014 when I got pancreatitis twice. No drinking at all. They pulled my gall bladder. Dec 2014 my bile duct collapsed and I had to have a PT Tube inserted which I carried for 9 months. Supposed to only be 2 weeks. Had surgery on pancreas in Sept 2015 and tube taken out.
But has been pretty much down hill from there. Filed and got SSDI and the pain and fatigue sometimes just kills me. But in the last year I've been doing good. My weight was down to 168lbs and now I'm up to 194 and been feeling good. Mid May this year, GI doc found tumor on head of pancreas and it's not good.
But I'm going to fight the bitch best I can.
I've blasted and cruised since 2010 with 2 years off. Been cruising for 9 months and about to go on a blast soon as I can. It's by far my biggest challenge to date but I'm confident I can do it. Also, Type 2 diabetic so that throws a curve ball in my diet but I think I have that worked out. I'll see. Probably have to make some adjustments.
Anyway, just wanted to give a little background before I start my blast and my log. It's going to be an eye opening log. And it will be very descriptive. Just need to get all my ducks in a row before I start.
Thanks for tuning in and sorry for such long post.
      Have a good weekend!!
