Happy Monday!
This morning has been a struggle, I did not wake up early enough to get my cycling in, so I am going to take an early lunch break so I can get it done while I am still fasted.
Leg day again so higher carb, lower fat for my diet. It’s really starting to get to me that legs are really the only thing I am able to train... I am starting to feel very weak otherwise. Trying not to get in my head about it. I started organizing our storage room yesterday, which I guess is helping me feel like there is a little bit of structure and organization to my life.
I’m starting to get in a low cycle (diagnosed bipolar) and it is always harder for me to find the motivation to do things, I am dwelling work this week, not for any particular reason. I am stressed about finances and being ready for my competition in October, my arm prohibits me from being able to train for my routine the way I want to.
Here is food from yesterday, have to adjust and get back on the right track.

I’ve been doing some of the resistance training for upper body stuff (thanks @radman you the real mvp) which has been a bit of a struggle because it’s been so long, but it’s good.
I feel like I’m not making any progress on my abs so I don’t know if there is something I need to change or just do more/ harder core work, it’s a little discouraging? Does anyone have any to recommend? I’m sure I’m retaining water from the var, I finish my cycle one week before the show... almost like it was planned that way!

Good morning BOP!
Making my diet a bit stricter to hopefully help my abs poke through, as well as starting Rads plan!
My work is testing me, this week things delivered were pizza, chocolates, three cakes, and cookies... it’s killing me slowly. And of course no one seems to understand. “You’re so small, you can eat this, you don’t need to lose weight” DIET DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN LOSE WEIGHT YOU DUMMIES. I also deal with this from my mom, I am never good enough. Too skinny, too muscular, etc. I told her I was changing my diet and she said “why? Youre skeletal already.” No idea why I have body issues...
That is more in the feels than I planned on going this morning, but it’s motha fuckin Friday! Yes! Make it a kick ass day!

Haha this is why youre the rad man! I have zero expertise when it comes to abs so thank you for the suggestions - she’d end up with big developed upper abs by the time I got done with her
She has to be holding a lil bloat, and introducing an actual protein macro other than her previous sugar diet has her digesting slower imo

Ditto. Just do you. First I was a fat ass and then I was getting so small now I am muscular. My mom is cool bit its other people. Like geez it's your body if you want small go for it. If you want ripped go for it! We are the ones who have to love in our body and it should be exactly what we want.

I am fuckin ruthless when it comes back to responding to people who say shit to me about dieting (Come back to me when you’ve been on that diet for 2 months you Whole30 fanboi), or ME dieting specifically. Sometimes I just have to take a look around outside of the gym and 99% of people are walking around with big ass potbellies, it’s the norm.
My parents and family have adapted to never saying anything to me about being too skinny...I’ve actually changed the way they see things a lot recently. It used to be: you’re getting too skinny, losing too much weight. So I’d whip my shirt up and grab a fat roll and be like...you think this shits too skinny?! Mfer you’re in the early stages of diabetes and don’t do shit except sit on the couch drooling at the cooking channel, too lazy to walk your own fkin dog around the yard! The only walking you do outside is to smoke a cig and now you’re too lazy to do that and sit in the kitchen! I’d like to still have a dad in 5 years! That is literally the kind of shit I used to say to my dad...now he’s lost 50lbs and wants to get out walking.
Ive told her what I’d say to her mom...she would never say a word about her weight ever again lol
People don’t understand when we say diet, it could mean we are looking to gain 20lbs with this diet or that we just don’t wanna be a donut and fried chicken eatin mouth breather every day
