      Ok what’s happening here.

When I’m doing the flat bench it doesn’t matter how much weight is on the bar for me, but I can’t push the weight up with any sort of speed. Ok for instance I can do 225lbs about 14-15 times. You’d think that I could at least do the first 5-6 reps with some sort of speed. Nope! They’re all slow and steady. So what’s the reason behind this? Am I lacking strength in a certain muscle group that’s not allowing explosiveness in a sense?

Why would you want to push it up faster? It serves no purpose.

Could be tri related but I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
