Rest Days are "Grow Days"

Man it's been so long since i tried doing a max lift i forgot how taxing it is. I tried a 315 squat a few days back and failed. Since then my hip flexor are shot and knotted to fuck, same with my neck and upper back. My sleep has went to shit and i have headaches. I know it was from the CNS overload because that is really the only variable that could have me feeling this way. I used to do ahit like this everyday when i was 21-24. I trained so stupid but just muscled my way through everything. Lesson learned here, i dont think there is a place for that type of lifting in my training regimen anymore Haha. Volume is by far a better method of growth for me. End rant.
Went in and just hit upper body, nothing intense just trying to get things moving and blood flowing so I can feel better and get back to the intensity soon.
Another rest day, I alternated between the hottub and an ice bath for about an hour, then did some static stretching for a while. I feel better still tired from work though.
I was pressed for time so I did 2 cycles through a circuit of squats, leg curls, KB swings and assault bike sprints with no breaks then got a pump in the bis and tris.
