Saturday went pretty smoothly, all in all. Made a slight error in vaping a bit too much CBD, and found myself surprisingly stoned. Spent the rest of the evening watching 3D YouTube, apparently. Aside from that, not too much to report. Still got in plenty of steps, so no complaints. Weighed 218.6 as of this morning, which I'm chalking up to being slightly out of ketosis (due to the cinnamon bears from the day before). Should be right on track for further cutting tomorrow, though.

Whelp, it was only a matter of time, I suppose, before my cheapo stepper from Walmart was destined to give up the ghost. Appears that a pretty significant crack has appeared where once a weld had held, but such is the way of cheap equipment. Still progress is continuing, and I'm down to 217.6 Lbs this morning. Got a bunch of steps in on the mini elliptical, and a bunch more Rifftrax to watch, so I'll keep on keeping on. I'll see if I can get photo upload of the cracked weld for posterity-sake in coming posts.

And still, the cutting log continues.

There we are, you can see where the weld (maybe braze?) decided to finally give. Knowing how it goes with Walmart, I don't doubt they'd be willing to exchange it, I just want to be sure some other poor bastard doesn't end up with this one. Oh, also reminds me, had my media server/photo backup/Plex server go belly up on me on Sunday. Nearly panic-bought a dozen hard drives to get things going again, but took a stoic moment, considered the options, and threw together a spare PC and got everything up and running (with about 8 hours of file system fuckery, but still). Easy to let your passions consume you, especially in the face of hardships. Turning them off for a little to make the most practical, 'highest good' decision ain't easy, but can lead to superior results.

I can't say for certain one way or another whether the Cardarine is of great benefit, but it does seem that hitting 20k steps in a day has become nearly commonplace, as opposed to 14-16k. And, my cut seems to be continuing to carry on a downward but positive path, so I'll chalk that up to a win. Still trying to determine if the EQ is contributing towards my hunger, or if it's just the increased cardio. Might be neither, and just balancing out from a higher carb day a few days later. Time will tell.

It's worth trying to exchange, best case scenario you get a new on free, worst your stuck with the old one haha. Sounda like you watched some Jordan Peterson, highest good, best option the way I see it. Keep at it bro.

Got the stepper returned with nary a problem, and picked up a replacement one. Still have a desk elliptical, which has been working just fine in the interim, but figured it's good to have the ability to switch it up from time to time.

Find myself in an odd spot, where the calories burned are significantly higher than the calories consumed, but yet morning weigh-ins continue to rise. Few things could be the issue:
#1. Calories burned from my smart watch are nowhere near accurate - This is most likely the culprit, but in an effort to account for such inaccuracy, even half of the purported calories burned should have me in a caloric deficit.
#2. Carbs are too high - While this could be the case, I've been making an effort to make sure carbs are 5% or less my my daily caloric intake. Still, it stands to reason that this might be the problem.
#3. Daily calories, despite higher calories burned, are too high - My calories do bounce more than a touch between 2k and nearly 3.3k, looking over the past week, so certainly something to consider there.

      Graph of the past week:

      weightPlan.JPG

First uptick was the cinnamon bears, then steady decline, then... mostly unexplained increase. Though, the previous three suggestions seem likely.
Weighed in at 218.5 this morning

It is important, however, to keep in mind how far we've come, and so:

      weightPlan.JPG

From right around 226 Lbs down to 218.6 Lbs in just shy of three weeks, certainly something worth celebrating!

Alas, what I know of Jordan Peterson all came from a Joe Rogan Experience podcast, though I must say I like quite a bit of what he had to say! To his credit, he brought Greek stoicism back into the mindset of the modern populace, which is no easy task. I will have to read up about him quite a bit more!

Good to hear you were able to replace your stepper. Also good job on the weight loss bro, definitely worth celebrating.

I watch a lot of his short 30-60sec clips, something to think on, figure out how it applies to my life, and keep upgrading myself. You are right he has brought a more noble way of thinking back today Western people, men specifically. If only we all had to moral fabric of older times, the world would be a far better place, but it's improving again slowly which is better than regression.

Keep up the good work bro.

Saturday was a bit of a layabout day, but spent some time with friends, went out to eat (while minding being responsible), then came back to a bonfire that we sat around into the wee hours of the night, reminiscing of pre-COVID times. It was a mighty fine time, though there was several beers not accounted for in MFP, which the scale reminded me of in the morning. Still, I did it to myself, so I only got one person to blame.

      mealplan.JPG

Sunday things got a bit more back on track, and started putting up the higher step numbers, and got to cleaning the place up a touch. It hadn't fallen into squalor or anything quite like that, but it's one of those things I like to beat to the punch whenever I can help it. Also, I had forgotten how good Payback was, though I suppose the movie is damn well over two decades old at this point. Still, there are worse ways to spending 90 mins on the elliptical.

      mealplan.JPG

Had hit 222 Lbs Sunday morning (due to an off-the-rails cheat day on Friday, and then indiscretion on Saturday), but we're back in it, and down to 220 Lbs this morning. We'll see how close to 200 Lbs I can get by the end of the month, though maybe 210 would be a more reasonable goal. We shall see what the whims of the mirror and the Great Magnet may be.
