No sir, much anecdotal and scholarly evidence points to its ability to increase sleep continuity(going through full deep sleep cycles), and many people report grogginess from using it which is typical of very deep sleep. The mechanisms GABA acts on in the body are the same that alcohol acts on to induce deep sleep with reduced amounts of dreams or REM stage sleep. exactly what I’ve noticed. It’s a slow build up and last. This is why it’s so effective for sleep. I wake up feeling refreshed as it definitely accumulates throughout the night. Usually, theanine, melatonin, etc, all make me waking up feeling groggy. Acting on gaba , it’s more of a calming effect rather than knock out.
benadryl works for me too.
back today. Heavy and hard. Got some progress and will post workout
