I really loved competing in powerlifting. I did it in my early 20's. I think it's more for self satisfaction and confidence than anything else. People always ask muscular guys "what can you bench press?" I used to compete in bench press and always had a decent number to tell them...and I could prove it. Man I hated putting on that bench shirt though LOL.
Not for the money, not for the fame, just to say I'm the strongest. That's what got me 25 years ago and still has me today for the love of the Strong
OORAHHHH!!!!! makes me want to go slam some weight!
