      Geezus it’s summer huh?!? Lol I’m thinking a trip down south next weekend and soaking in the river is going to be the ticket... take full advantage of the heavy winters melt off and the coolness it will provide... I can’t wait! I’m not built for the heat anymore... that feature died with the old me when I left California many moons ago...

      Got all my berries picked, washed, measured and bagged... I guess only zucchini, tomatoes, broccoli, corn and lettuce is ready currently so that’s what I’ll be eating this week... I’m excited for the corn though.. I love fresh corn. As long as it’s legit corn and not that fake gmo poison corn. Which luckily not many around these parts grow that shit...

      20 dozen Eggs restocked, fresh chickens cooked, separated, weighed and bagged for the week... left overs to the freezer in marinade ready for the crockpot.

      I even got my hands on some fresh elk steaks... Which is funny since it ain’t elk season lol ssshhhh... one lesson in life I know, you ain’t stopping a man who survives off the land from providing for his own. Nor will you tell him what he can kill to eat or when he can hunt it on his own land... so I’ll reap the benefits of his generosity and kindness for allowing me to partake... im a grateful man indeed... even more so that I can still sit on a big ass front porch, unrushed on time and listen to an old timer tell me about his hay days... there’s just something so fucking cool about it... to see his eyes light up as he tells me about drunken bar brawls and nasty mean bulls... to seeing him pat his old wife on the ass with his mucked up, scarred up and overworked man hands and thank her for bringing out iced tea... in an big old glass pitcher... shot gun leaning up against the wall by his rocker, for coyotes trying to steal chickens... his old beat cowboy hat and worn out overalls... He likes me. Mostly because I “ain’t one of them lazy fuckstick, streety hippy vaginas, afraid to get their hands dirty” ... which never made sense to me, hippies I see are all dirty as fug and love/promote/ and are active in organic farming... and there’s plenty of them out here in the pacific northwest for me to know this... but hey, I’ll take a compliment with grace, however it comes lol

      Having the opportunity for these front porch visits, after plucking, picking and chasing my future food... it really helps to bring me back down to earth... an escape from my own spinning wheels... listening to his stories of a world long past... the internal lessons were the same... the worlds a much bigger place and it actually doesn’t revolve around me... go figure... I’m grateful for these reminders

      Well pretty sure there’s a late season for cow elk anyways...killing a cow today would mean you most likely just killed all of her yearling fawns too tho lol. This year I intend on putting at least 200lbs of venison back in the freezer. Gonna have to buy my gf some bow season tags too, she doesn’t bow hunt...but yeah...

      The devil has opened the flood gates of hellfire and I’m burning up in the flames lol... seriously it’s hot though... but even as I cry about it I think about all you brothers down south in the real hell heat and though I feel bad for you too, I concentrate on poor me and cry... one more month is all I gotta hang on for until the beginning of fall saves my ass...

      Work was simple today at least... I got to go do some plastic work with the residential side. Tomorrow will be hell day, but today was easy as hell... no wonder these dudes are so soft lol

      Went to my ghetto ass gym and pretty much thought I’d get heat stroke.. tomorrow I’m hoping to go the west side area, the rich folk area, and see about getting a two month membership at the fancy gym. I know they got air conditioning because I installed their fire system and do the service work there ;0)

      I managed to get off a weak shoulders day... I definitely short changed myself and didn’t push hard at all... my entire body feels like I’m burning at 150 degrees... I drop sweat like I’m in the sauna and I’m not... so then I get all paranoid about the others there and their sweat... I can’t bathe in enough hand sanitizer... I honestly feel like I could catch hep c or something from my gym... possibly even aids... anyway as you can see my head gets the better of me and logic goes away... so I just bailed out... short changed and a bit disappointed I couldn’t get a better workout in...

      Tomorrow I’ll hopefully make up for this let down /

      I managed to get off a weak shoulders day... I definitely short changed myself and didn’t push hard at all... my entire body feels like I’m burning at 150 degrees... I drop sweat like I’m in the sauna and I’m not... so then I get all paranoid about the others there and their sweat... I can’t bathe in enough hand sanitizer... I honestly feel like I could catch hep c or something from my gym... possibly even aids... anyway as you can see my head gets the better of me and logic goes away... so I just bailed out... short changed and a bit disappointed I couldn’t get a better workout in...

      Tomorrow I’ll hopefully make up for this let down /

The brother comes in in a glad bag Cowboys Accountability LogCowboys Accountability LogCowboys Accountability Log like the kind my mom had us kids wear as rain gear when I was a kid lol.. dude has the sleeveless model of course and uses some kind of back brace belt thingy to hold the waistline in... he just crackles everywhere he goes... I can hear it through my headphones blasting five finger death punch and everything!!!

      I hate working out in the heat with a passion though... I over heat easy as it is... and even more so with these added items in my blood stream

      My gym is an old liquor store that’s in the ghetto. No air or heat. It had a toilet until the broke. But it was donated to the FD from a local company that was gonna tear it down. We were very thankful and it’s the FD’s gym.

      It’s an expensive (getting started, and leases if you don’t have land/generous friends) and time consuming hobby, but the most enjoyable and peaceful hobby there is in my opinion. I use my whole PTO to take off for bow season. Go and sit in a tree, alone, for entire days on end. Till that time comes when you get the chance to put an arrow through something and adrenaline starts pumping through your blood.

      I bonded more with my brother more last year more than any time in my life, first year I was legally able to hunt in 7 years after hunting all my life. I sat 14 hour days in a tree with him hunting a dream buck we’d been getting pictures of on trail cameras for 3 months straight. This thing was our obsession, till one day it ran up directly underneath me and I put an arrow through his heart. I had so much adrenaline pumping I puked while I was on the phone, we both cried lol...it was fucking unreal. Ended up killing several more, filled my rifle tags with my bow too.
